Living most of her life in Alaska, Shirley and her husband moved to Montana 7 years ago. Shirley graduated from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, earning a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. Her long-standing history of working with young adults and adolescents includes acute care, residential programs, therapeutic boarding school, therapeutic pre-school, private practice, juvenile services, and academic teaching and counseling. Shirley is professionally licensed as Marriage and Family Therapist, and recently retired as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Montana, parallel to Alaska, continues to support her family’s love for the outdoors. Shirley enjoys a wide variety of backcountry adventures with her husband and Border Collie side-kick, Koda. Her personal goal is to continue collaborative efforts to support the positive growth and development of young adults.
