
Mark Schattenberg
In 2017, Mark received my BS in Recreational Administration and has held various positions in the recreation industry, bringing over ten years of experience to the Wilderness Instructor role. Originally from Texas, Mark loves living in the great state of Montana! He has found his home in Montana and enjoys being able to participate in a variety of outdoor activities including snowboarding, ice climbing, trail running, and paddling.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Mark was honored to be selected as a Team USA member and represented the United States in Portugal at the 2018 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships. In 2019, he qualified and ran in the Boston Marathon, completing my run in under three hours.
In 2022, Mark climbed and summited Denali unsupported while raising funds for Movember, a non-profit organization supporting men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Mark is excited to bring his experience and passion for adventure to Triple Divide Lodge by helping young men to build their confidence and be able to successfully participate in outdoor experiences. As a recreation professional, Mark believes that outdoor experiences are vital for a healthy lifestyle.
