Kristel Bowden
Kristel Bowden is a life learner that loves delving into the dynamics of groups. Some of her passions are dancing, reading, learning about food science, working with youth, and being in nature. Kristel’s experience with outdoor education started over 7 years ago working with a YMCA camp, then on to completing her Bachelors in Recreation Park and Tourism Administration, with a Minor in Outdoor Leadership. While getting her Bachelors, she went on a 4-month long expedition called, Environmental Conservation and Outdoor Education Expedition (ECOEE) through Western Illinois University. The expedition started in Canada, where a group of 10 canoed 200 miles of the Missinaibi River in Ontario Canada, then road-tripped the western part of the U.S.A. and Mexico. Since this expanding experience, Kristel has gone on to work at the Philadelphia Outward Bound School and Wingate Wilderness Therapy, accumulating over 115 backcountry field days.
