Building A Foundation For Recovery: Residential Treatment Center For Boys
Triple Divide Lodge is a 90-day dual diagnosis treatment program for young men ages 14-19. We combine conventional residential treatment with a wilderness expedition in order to give our clients a well-rounded experience that builds the foundation for long-term recovery.
People often ask how do I find a substance abuse program near me? While we may not be down the street from you, we are located in Northwest Montana on 338 acres of beautiful land full of opportunities for adventures and experiences.
Body, Mind, and Spirit
Our namesake, the triple divide, is the point at which we view 3 elements coming together at an elevated point. We know that treating the body, mind, and spirit of an individual ensures the self-discovery needed to overcome challenges related to substance use. When these elements are aligned, the overall needs and well-being of the individual are met.
Body: We treat the body through exercising and nourishing ourselves with healthy, fresh foods.
Mind: Through educating ourselves and building our confidence, we feel at peace in the mind.
Spirit:12-Step programming and individualized therapy help us heal our spirit and recognize our value.
All aspects of the body, mind, and spirit overlap. Mindfulness practices like yoga and prayer help strengthen both our mind and body. Eating well helps us think clearer and paves the way for a healthy, nourished body. Treating all of these elements together makes it possible for clients to overcome their addiction and any additional mental health challenges they face.
Our treatment program helps young men overcome substance use and addiction to lead successful lives.
Treatment-Focused:
Our goal is to help the young men we work with learn the skills necessary to overcome their addictions. Substance use can be a difficult challenge in adolescence especially, and finding the right program for your child can be overwhelming. Unlike add-on addiction services at other residential or wilderness programs, we focus primarily on addiction treatment. Other challenges faced by our students can only be worked on once addiction issues have been thoroughly addressed. Therapy, especially in a wilderness residential program, can have a tremendous impact on outcomes of additional substance abuse treatments.
Family Work:
Substance use and addictive behaviors do not happen in a vacuum. Addiction always affects those around the person of concern in a myriad of ways not often discussed. Treating addiction in adolescents requires work within the whole family unit, especially in the early stages during the detox from drugs. Parents and siblings work through therapy alongside the client to ensure that long-term recovery is possible and that the family unit is healthy and a safe space for those in recovery.

Transition:
We create an individualized continuing care plan based on the specific needs of the client and their families. By combining both residential and wilderness treatment, our clients are duly prepared for the transition out of the program and into the rest of their lives. Moving through different milieus, our clients can work through regressions as they happen in a safe, supportive space. Clients learn their strengths and weaknesses and are aptly prepared for the next step in their journey.
What Is A Triple Divide?
By definition, a triple divide is a point on the Earth’s surface where three drainage basins meet. We view the triple divide as the point at which body, mind, and spirit come together to elevate the individual. When these 3 areas are in harmony, physical and emotional health along with analytical thought is balanced. We treat the whole person through various clinical modalities including traditional and experiential therapies. Together, we help clients gain skills that will help them become mentally and spiritually whole.
